Mr. Bourne is deeply involved with solving the ESG data jigsaw puzzle created by the growing need to link multiple frameworks together to capture the most effective library of relevant information. Mr. Bourne leads the build out of the IHS Markit data platform that covers both companies & countries ESG profiles. He is particularly focused on the growing engagement by national regulators and supervisory bodies with the establishment of their own ESG frameworks. He manages the internal ESG data repository that cross references fourteen leading frameworks such as UN SDGs, TCFD, SASB, GRI with almost ten thousand ESG data points in addition to the IHS Markit ESG schemas for 7,400 public companies & 211 countries.
Previously Mr. Bourne was Global Head of Sustainable Investment at LSEG/FTSE Russell and was responsible for implementing their new ESG & Green revenues data models, systems and indexes. Prior to this, Kevin has 25 years' experience in equities trading with his final appointment being as Managing Director & Global Head of Electronic & Portfolio Trading at HSBC. He was a founding member of the EMEA FIX committee whilst trading at Salomon Brothers and has seen the material impact that standards can have on financial markets.

Prior to joining IHS Markit in May 2021, Mr Chard was a Partner at PwC based in London. Mr Chard is an experienced and trusted Board level advisor to a wide range of globally significant financial institutions. He has advised on technology strategy, resilience, risk, control and assurance models. He led the global enterprise resilience proposition at PwC and has worked with clients across APAC, the Middle East, North America and Europe. He has held senior leadership roles in the Technology, Data and Analytics group and in the Banking & Capital Markets group of PwC.
Mr. Chard has extensive experience in designing, transitioning and leading managed service programmes to drive efficiency in large clients. He has provided evidence to the UK Treasury Select Committee, been appointed on multiple occasions as a Skilled Person to conduct UK financial services regulatory reviews and advised the Prudential Regulation Authority. Prior to joining PwC, he established and led the third-party risk practice at Deloitte for five years. In this role he worked with clients across a range of industries including government, life sciences, technology and media and oil and gas. He holds a BSc in Industrial Business Systems, an MBA from Warwick and is a qualified chartered accountant.
Birthe leads the consumer practise for Risk Advisory in NL and has 15+ years experience in advising organisations on how to achieve an optimal balance between taking and controlling risks throughout their entire eco-system.
She has a background in Third Party Risk Management and developed a passion to support clients to design and deploy ‘Sustainable Value Chains’ to become more responsible businesses. This is becoming a more and more important aspect of strategy and controls for organisations with large supply chains. She is a firm believer of adapting a multi-disciplinary approach where finance, risk, procurement and supply collaborate closely to meet organisations' ambitions on ESG and to implement and improve on the requirements that come from the EU taxonomy.
Daniel Wain runs his own learning and development (L&D) consultancy, training and coaching across the world in a range of business, communication and relationship skills. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, a Fellow of the Market Research Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, as well as a full member of the Society of Authors, the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and the UK actors’ union Equity. He started his business career as a market researcher over 30 years ago, before moving into business development and then L&D. His last ‘proper job’ was as Worldwide Director of L&D at Research International, part of the WPP Group. Since founding Daniel Wain Consulting Limited in 2007, his clients have included Avon, the BBC, BT, Capita, Coca-Cola, GfK NOP, Hewlett-Packard, the House of Commons, Ipsos MORI, Kantar, McCann, Ofcom, PwC, Telia Sonera, Tesco Bank, Transport for London, the U.S. Embassy in London, Utility Warehouse and Waitrose. Daniel is also an accomplished and award-winning conference speaker and chair, as well as a regular contributor to a variety of business and academic magazines and journals. He has been a fellow or lecturer at several UK business schools, as well as a Visiting Professor at the IE Business School in Madrid. His passion is theatre: he runs his own semi-professional company, is a published playwright, a multi-award-winning actor and recently made his debut as a film director!
