If procurement doesn't take a central role in tackling modern slavery, who will?

This session explores how modern slavery risk can be hidden within global supply chains, and the role procurement teams are expected to play in responding to it.

With growing pressure to strengthen human rights due diligence and responsible sourcing, the focus is increasingly on what happens day to day.

In this session, we’ll look at:

  • Why organisations urgently need to strengthen their approach to human rights due diligence and responsible sourcing.
  • Where procurement teams can embed effective policies, supplier engagement, team capability, and performance management into operations.
  • How the regulatory landscape is changing, and what guidance is available to help navigate this – including the upcoming ISO standard on modern slavery.

You’ll hear from David Fatscher, Interim Head of Standards Development (Sustainability & ESG), BSI, alongside an expert panel bringing together perspectives from across procurement and anti‑slavery practice.

The session will close with a live Q&A giving you the opportunity to share your challenges and hear how others are approaching them.

This session is hosted in collaboration with the UK’s National Standards Body BSI (British Standards Institution).
